So what is the deal with pre-teenaged girls and drama?

Why does there have to be something happening or else they think that the world will come to an end if some type of drama isn't happening all the time?

Rule #1654: Leave your Drama at the doorstep, it does not enter my house at any time.

Tabitha is just doing wonderfull in school this year. I'm so proud of her. She's growing up so fast.

Every since Tabitha started back to school, things have been hectic and busy on both our schedules. Cheerleading started and I attended the first meeting and that went all fine and we were out for a week because of the hurricane (don't ask, we live 10,000 miles from the coast)

Hopefully we'll get back on schedule this week.

Hopefully the cat will stop keeping us awake so we can get more sleep at night :)

Yesterday afternoon I came home, as usual, and Tabitha informed me that she had a Cheerleaders Meeting. So we scrambled around, getting ready (or she did, I don't have to do my hair and makeup for half an hour before leaving the house).

We stopped to grab a quick snack and put some gas in the truck and then headed to the school where the meeting was supposed to take place.

As with most extra curricular activities that I (as a single father) have to be involved in, I've found myself as the only male that shows up.

Awkward, to say the least...

So we make it through the meeting without any incident. Now this is only the second week of school and I have not had a chance to meet Tabitha's teacher yet, I missed the open house because of work, but the principle "Mrs B." was walking around so I decided to go say hi. She knew me from last year and we've met and talked on many different occasions, so we talk to each other like we're old friends.

She started off by telling me that Tabitha has started the year off doing very well, better than at the end of last year. I had told her that she appears to really enjoy her new teacher. I asked what she was like because I had not met her yet.

Well, to make a long story short, Mrs B. started telling me that her teacher was a young (mid twenties) very attractive women who was not married.

O.o

The principle is trying to set me up with my daughters teacher?

I don't think I could have run any faster to my truck, I made some excuse that I left the oven on and needed to go home and check it.

I am still shaking even now.

Apparently, Tabitha has a girl scout meeting tomorrow.

do you know how I know this?

The scout leader calls me this evening around 9:45pm (just as I'm climbing into my sleep chamber)

She calls to tell me that the scheduled meeting (that I did not know about) was canceled.

Fancy that!

Tabitha's first day of school was yesterday and she was very excited. She came home and was full of spice and vinegar. She couldn't stop talking about her day, (needless to say I now know the names of all the boys that sit close to her)

ho hum!!!
